Pasture pets and hot trotters are welcome here

We got into horse boarding almost by accident. Friends at Fort Benning needed a place to keep their beloved animals. A plan to help out a few soldiers in need has grown into providing an affordable and family-friendly place that no less than 90 horses have called home over the years.

Rate Information

Owning a horse can be expensive. We keep our rates among the lowest in the area to provide great value to our customers. Standard rates are $150 per month. There is a $50 charge for hay from October through March. We provide top-quality free choice hay that we grow and bale ourselves during those months. If you need a place to store your horse trailer, you can do that here for an additional $10/month.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have full care options?

We offer self-care boarding only.

Can I bring my dog with me?

We love dogs and have several of our own on the farm. You are welcomed to bring your dog out with you, but it must stay close to you and under your control at all times. If it doesn’t behave or doesn’t get along with the farm dogs, your pup will have to stay home.

Can I board my studd?

We only board mares and geldings

Do you offer riding lessons?

We don’t offer lessons, but have great connections with experienced instructors, some of whom will come to you at the farm.

Do you have storage space for my tack?

We have a tack room with saddle racks, a feed storage space inside the barn, and some lockable bins. All of these are available for your use as space permits but are not guaranteed. You’ll need to confirm with us what is available when you come visit.

What will I need to do to get a boarding spot?

First thing is give us a call to discuss. We usually set up a time for you to visit and make sure our options meet your expectations. You’ll need a clean bill of health  and a current Coggins test.

What are your procedures for new arrivals?

New animals to the farm will be kept isolated for about a week to give them time to meet the others across the fence and to monitor them for any health issues. During that time, you need to plan to come to the farm at least once in the morning and once in the evening each day to feed and clean up. We’ll provide square bales of hay for you to feed them during that time.

VETERINARY AND FARRIER SERVICE RECOMMENDATIONS

Over the years, we have built relationships with veterinarians and farriers we know and trust. These are the people we recommend to our customers. Because of our ongoing relationships with these professionals, they are able to come on the farm any time they are needed with no special permissions or arrangements necessary. Customers are always free to choose other providers so long as we are notified when they will be coming to the farm and for what purpose.
