Brangus – Our Breed of Choice
We keep a quality Brangus bull in the fields with commercial angus mama cows. Brangus is a mix of Brahma and Angus. 3/8 Brahma and 5/8 Angus. They’re good tempered cows with heat tolerance and good birth weights. They produce excellent quality beef rated more tender than Black Angus.

Here’s some news. ALL beef is grass fed. The overwhelming majority of every cow’s diet is grass. The only difference is how they are finished. Most beef is fed corn to add fat and weight before going to processing.

Nah. Ya Don’t.
In a taste test between grass-fed and grain-fed beef, grain-fed generally has a milder, richer, and more buttery flavor due to higher marbling from the grain diet, while grass-fed tends to have a leaner, slightly “gamey” taste with a more pronounced beefy flavor; the preference between the two often comes down to personal taste, with some people enjoying the richer fat profile of grain-fed and others preferring the cleaner taste of grass-fed.
