Laney Farms
Boarding contract - Submit one form per horse
- All horses must have current vaccinations and a clean bill of health from a DVM before entering Laney Farms property. Record of current Coggins must be uploaded along with this form.
- Vaccinations and parasite prevention treatments are the responsibility of the horse owner and must be kept up to date for the health of all animals on the property.
- Laney Farms is open only to approved clients from 7am-9pm. Clients with a need to be on the farm before or after regular hours must contact Laney Farms for permission.
- Clients are responsible to regularly check on the health and well-being of their horses. Laney Farms is not responsible for maintaining wellness checks.
- Horses are not to be left unattended while stalled unless they are under veterinary care.
- Pasture assignment is at the sole discretion of Laney Farms.
- Clients may not offer any services on the farm (such as riding lessons) without express permission.
- Clients who sell or otherwise transfer ownership of a horse boarded at Laney Farms are required to notify Laney Farms immediately and provide full contact information for the horse’s new owner. The sale or transfer of a horse to a new owner does not automatically confer to the new owner the right to continue boarding the horse at Laney Farms.
- Trail riding is only permitted on Laney Farms property (no trespassing).
- Fees are based on whole month boarding only and are not prorated for partial months.
- Horses and equipment stored on Laney Farms are their own collateral. Laney Farms has and may assert and exercise a right of lien for any amount due for the board and keep of horse(s), and also for any storage or other charges due hereunder. Clients further agree that Laney Farms shall have the right, without process of law, to attach a lien to horse(s) after two (2) months of non-payment or partial payment. Laney Farms can then sell horse(s) to recover its loss and is not obligated to share any portion of the proceeds of that sale with the previous owner of the horse.
- Laney Farms reserves the right to call for emergency veterinarian or farrier services as needed. All expenses incurred are the responsibility of the client.
- Laney Farms reserves the right to discontinue offering services to any client at any time.
- Laney Farms commits to provide horse quality hay for all horses from October through March of each year and to maintain sustainable pasture loads during the growing season. Any other food or supplements are the responsibility of the client.
- Laney Farms reserves the right to discontinue boarding services in the case that a horse is found to be aggressive or otherwise dangerous to other animals or people on the farm.
- As per the Alabama Equine Act, Laney Farms is not responsible for the well being of the equestrian.
- Laney Farms maintains the property to the highest standards to promote the health and well being of all animals and clients, but is in no way accountable for any misfortune that may occur due to circumstances out of our control.
